After a massive build up, the Gippsland Bowls Region pennant season gets underway next week, with midweek action kicking off on Tuesday.
Hot on the heels will be the weekend season which gets underway on Saturday, October 18.
Lakes Entrance will be represented by seven sides in weekend pennant and five in midweek pennant.
The weekend competition this year will have a premier section and four divisions in the eastern conference and three divisions in the northern conference.
The premier league is much more refined and contains Sale, Metung, Lindenow, Maffra, Paynesville, Lakes Entrance, Stratford and Bairnsdale.
The midweek division one competition contains seven teams, with both the eastern and northern conferences having a division two and three competition.
Sides in division one include Stratford, Lakes Entrance, Sale, Lindenow, Bairnsdale, Metung and Maffra.
Lakes Entrance is the defending champion.
The major difference in the top grade competitions, in both midweek and weekend pennant, is that clubs are only able to field one side.
