It has been a very busy September for members of the Inner Wheel Club (IWC) of Bairnsdale.
In lieu of a September General Meeting many attended the popular opening night of the film Downton Abbey inviting friends along to participate in the well-organised refreshments provided before the film commenced.
All who attended had a great time.
Some dressed in the era of the film which added to this very enjoyable evening.
The club was delighted to welcome international president Kay Moreland and partner along with former Bairnsdale member Australian vice president Yvonne Romp and husband Clive.
IWA council member and Bairnsdale Club secretary Dianne Allen was accompanied by husband councillor Arthur Allen.
The club thanked the hardworking organisers involved for an excellent evening which raised a very worthy sum for Cord Blood Research.
Recently members also had the opportunity to attend the Turner Exhibition at Gippsland Art Gallery Sale and look forward to further excursions over coming months visiting local galleries.
Inner Wheel Walks have been well attended with a lovely walk along Beach Road, Metung, and Cunningham Arm, Lakes Entrance.
The next walk will be held at Station Walk adjacent to the East Gippsland Rail Trail taking in the Nicholson River.
Morning Teas each month provide very popular venues for members to further social interaction; the next will be held at Paynesville.
