The fifth East Gippsland Winter Festival kicks off this weekend with a month-long list of focussed events set to light up the region.
Lakes Entrance’s first taste of the festival is this Saturday morning with the now annual Winter Solstice Big Dip, 7am at the Slipway site.
Across the month there will be numerous activities and events for locals and tourists to take part in, but the headline feature will be the Lakes Lights lantern parade and art installation along the foreshore, footbridge and water’s edge.
This year’s art theme is “Guardians of Nature” with the area in front of the Lakes Entrance Surf Lifesaving Club set to provide something for everyone to view.
