The Lakes Entrance juniors footballers will return to the field this week in round nine of the East Gippsland Junior Football Association after a two week freshen up due to the King’s Birthday holiday weekend and a bye.
The coaching staff and parents have enjoyed the break more than the youngsters who are keen to get back out on the park and build on productive seasons thus far.
The Seagulls will host the Lucknow Magpies at the Lakes Entrance Recreation Reserve kicking off with the under 11s (10.30am), followed by the under 13 (11.30am) and 15 (1pm) matches.
In the under 13s the Seagulls sit on top of the ladder, unbeaten after six matches, while the under 15s sit second, their only defeat at the hands of ladder leader Wy Yung in the previous assignment.
They will be looking to bounce back.
