Lakes Entrance’s under 13s continued their sensational start to the season with another emphatic victory in round six of the East
Gippsland Junior Football Association (EGJFA)
last Sunday.
The young Seagulls made light work of Paynesville, who were kept scoreless by the rampant home side, Lakes maintaining its unbeaten run.
Callum Yates was again impressive in the forward 50 booting six majors, well supported by Patrick McGinty (four), while Keanu Brown and Rocky Weter-Katipa both slotted three each.
Good players were plentiful, led by Makayla Sowden, McGinty, Yates, John Sowden, Oliver Jenkins and Jack Hayllar.
Lakes Entrance will defend its ladder leader position this Sunday when it makes the trip to tackle another unbeaten outfit, Wy Yung, at Bullumwaal Road.
The Seagulls under 15s had a bye last Sunday and they will also head to Wy Yung in the identical situation, on top of the table, unbeaten, facing the also undefeated Tigers, who are ranked second.
The stage is set for the two biggest games in the EGJFA thus far this season.
The day will kick off with the Seagulls under 11s doing battle with the Tigers from 10.30am.
