Thousands of people were kept busy around Yarram over the Easter holiday period with the annual Tarra Festival experiencing record numbers at numerous events.
The annual street parade on Saturday was clearly the most popular and the greatest spectacle, with thousands of people transcending into the town to take in the colour, excitement and community spirit on offer.
The parade was a brilliant representation of the local community including schools, service groups, emergency response vehicles, trucks, tractors, sporting groups, dance squads and music groups.
The event was supported by a vibrant and popular market, with something on offer for kids and adults.
Other events over the weekend in a busy schedule included the hugely popular Rotary Art Show, Yarram Aero Club spot landing competition, Port Albert’s fun afternoon and lantern event, Lions Monday Market and the Radial Timber Mill Tour.
The local establishments hosted live music, and the Woodside Beach Hotel had a golden egg Easter egg hunt on Easter Sunday.
Organisers were delighted with numbers and the success of the returning street parade, but certainly won’t be resting on their laurels, planning to make 2026 bigger and better.
