Members of the Lakes Entrance Coastguard along with Port Welshpool, Paynesville, Mallacoota and Port Albert completed their Shipboard Safety Skill Set which was held at Lakes Entrance recently.
The National Competency based units covered Workplace Health and Safety, fire fighting, using rescue craft among other activities.
“It was a successful day, in not ideal conditions, with all participants passing,” Lakes Entrance Flotilla Training Officer Gary Hayes said.
“The course also known as Survival at Sea has been a two to three month
journey with theory, exams and now culminating in the practical.
