A happy group of friends meet each Wednesday at the Lakes Entrance Bowls Club to knit, crochet and have a chat.
They have just finished knitting red poppies for ANZAC Day but also have many other
projects underway.
“We do a lot of rugs, scarves, beanies or whatever is needed for the group Knit for Charity Lakes Entrance and they distribute to different charities, particularly St Vincent de Pauls Assistance Centre in Lakes,” knitter Gael Day said.
On the last Wednesday of the month, they all make squares which Gael then sews together
into blankets.
