The great intertown challenge between the Lakes Entrance and Bairnsdale Tennis Club’s was recently held in Bairnsdale.
For the very first time, Lakes Entrance sent down a combined tennis and pickleball team of 22 players.
Play took place in idyllic conditions on a beautiful autumn day with both juniors and adults taking to the courts.
Bairnsdale took the tennis title in a close finish 18 sets 185 games to 16 sets 179 games.
Lakes Entrance squared the ledger in the pickleball with a resounding 39 games 457 points to five games 165 points.
Once senses this battle is a long way from over.
