Local waters continue to fish well with some excellent results reported over the past seven days.
Mitchell River: Fishing conditions at the Mitchell River around the Silt Jetties are currently excellent for anglers targeting bream, having great success especially with shrimp and local prawns as bait.
Tambo River: From the mouth to the Rough Road area have reported catching bream, though many are on the smaller side. It’s advisable to check local regulations for minimum size limits to ensure compliance.
Nicholson River: Fishing at the mouth of the Nicholson River has been productive with bream and flathead being the primary catches. Anglers have reported success using cut crab and local prawns as baits.
Paynesville/Hollands Landing: For good quality fish try the shallower waters up to one metre in depth from Metung to Loch Sport.
