Last week’s golf at Lakes Entrance Golf Club was highlighted by Jacinta Wilson taking out the ladies’ monthly medal on Wednesday.

The medley event saw 30 players take to the fairways, with young Hunter Douglas successful in “A” grade and Marlene Holmes winning “B” grade, but it was Wilson with the biggest smile pocketing the medal with a 71 net.

Ruthless and Toothless, which saw 43 players sign up, Gary Deimezis reigned supreme in “A” grade with David Kilpatrick putting his best foot forward to take “B” grade.

Robyn Downing had a impressive round to trump the field in Young and the Rest of Us.

Thursday saw 80 players tee up, Frank McNamara winning “A” grade and the overall event with 38 points.

Stan Short was on song taking “B” grade while Allan Lawson hit some form to take “C” grade.

Saturday’s women’s stableford event saw Jennifer Kesper among the winners again, taking “A” grade with 37 points, with Lyn Bennett proving too good in “B” grade.

A huge field contested the men’s event, Future Golf’s Sam Waring winning “C” grade and the overall event with 41 points.

Other Saturday winners include classy left hander Jamie Coates (“A” grade), Justin Gray (“B” grade) and the in-form John Melrose in “D” grade.
