Sister act Katrina Fearnley and Jacinta Wilson were the winners of the "A" grade event last Wednesday. (PS)

It has been another big week of golf at the Lakes Entrance Golf Club, which remains in magnificent condition, with 257 entrants taking to the course in events held over four days.

Ruthless and Toothless, which saw 43 players sign up, saw Gary Jeal take “A” grade and David Casey “B” grade.

Wednesday’s stableford multiplier saw 34 players take to the course, with Ruth McPhee and Hayley Cotton winning “A” grade and the overall event, with 75 points.

In “A” grade, the sister act, Katrina Fearnley and Jacinta Wilson, was victorious with 57 points.

Thursday’s medley stableford was popular, with 84 players, scoring was high and the competitive.

Both “A” grade winner Gary Watson and “B” grade victor Brett Greer finished on 39 points, with Greer taking the overall victory on countback.

Patrick Kinsella took out “C” grade with 38 points.

The Dostine brothers, Clint and Brett, both had 39 points and went home empty handed.

Ruth McPhee continued her great form into Saturday’s women’s event, posting an impressive 42 points, with Anita Bertram having to be content with runners-up finishes, despite having 39 points.

The men’s event was extremely high scoring with 20 handicapper, Stuart Symes winning overall and “B” grade with 42 points.

He was victorious in the overall competition on countback from “C” grade winner, Bruce Coulton.

Watson was again in great form, winning “A” grade with 40 points, on countback from Stuart Yates and Jim Stewart.

Could only feel sorry for Don Blamire, signing off with 41 points, but not getting a share of the major prizes.

Blamire will be hoping to keep his form going this week and get a piece of the major action.
