The Lions Club of Lakes Entrance presented cheques totalling $5000 to four local primary schools at its meeting last week.
A cheque for $1250 was presented to Toorloo Arm, Lakes Entrance, Nungurner and St Brendan’s Primary Schools on behalf of every contributor to the fundraising effort.
“The level of support by locals and visitors was, as always, an indisputable reflection of the importance we, as a community, place on primary school literacy,” the Lions Club said.
The Lions Club of Lakes Entrance has a long and proud history of supporting local children in education, sport, culture and health.
“The club acknowledges and thanks every business, visitor and local resident
for help this year and for all previous years,” they said.
