After a busy year in 2024 and the New Year celebrations now over, a small group of Inner Wheel Club of Bairnsdale members attended the annual international night held at Lakes Entrance on January 9.
St Brendan’s Primary School was the ideal venue for this celebration and Lakes Entrance members left no stone unturned in ensuring they put on a lovely evening for all.
The club made a special thank you to the Lakes Entrance ladies for the excellent organisation and coordination of the event.
Being a partners’ night, business was kept to a minimum leaving time for all present to enjoy the evening.
Highlights were a tasty range of food with a South African influence supplied by members and the interesting table decorations displayed, including the outstanding jacket showing badges from a variety of countries Inner Wheel covers.
The following day saw several members departing Bairnsdale early in the morning to attend International Inner Wheel celebrations in Melbourne which gives members from all districts in Victoria the opportunity to get together and highlight Inner Wheel’s work throughout the world.
Being the most easterly club in the state the long distance is no barrier to these keen members attending for this day trip.
Members are looking forward to district chairman Erica Peck’s visit in February, welcoming some new members, and having a happy and successful year in 2025.
