Scoring continues to be high at Lakes Entrance Golf Club, highlighted by a 46-point stableford round from Andrew Douglas in last Saturday’s men’s event.
The event attracted 109 players, with Douglas’ 26 handicap sure to take a hit after overall and “D” grade victory.
Stuart Yates’ round was just as impressive, finishing with 40 points off a four handicap to take “A” grade, while Robert Sperring (“B” grade) and Michael Spruzen (“C” grade) also registered 40 points on a course turned out in splendid condition.
Saturday’s ladies’ stableford event saw 26 players hit the course, with the winners being Betty Martino (40 points) and Rhonda Beckett (36).
Numbers were also high last Thursday for the medley stableford with 99 players tackling the course, the overall event was won by “B” grade player Stephen Dinham, another player to rack up 40 points over the past seven days.
Brett Stokes won “A” grade with 37 points with Marcus Fry registering the same score to take out “C” grade.
Wednesday’s medley stableford saw 36 members do battle, with Andrew Rayner coming out on top with 38 points, with the consistent Val Gilbert taking out “B” grade with 37.
