There was delight and ecstasy for Lakes Entrance Golf Club member Shaun Baker last Saturday scoring a much sought-after hole-in-one on the 11th hole.
Baker aced out with a majestic eight iron that landed close to the pin and proceeded to roll in, to the excitement of Baker and his playing partners.
To cap off a great day for Baker, he finished his round with 42 stableford points, which was enough to secure the January monthly medal.
A good field of 85 participants took to the course with the other winners being, Stuart Yates (“A” grade) and Ron Edwards (“C” grade).
Nearest the pin wins were secured by club captain Ashley Chester, Matt Stevens, Baker and Robert Taylor.

Wilson was on target at the par threes, winning three nearest the pins with Val Gilbert taking the other.
A huge field contested Thursday’s medley stableford, with 114 players taking advantage of the pleasant weather and superb course condition.
The long hitting Brett Stokes was victorious in “A” grade and overall with 41 points.
In “B” grade Peter Knights won on countback from Baker, both registering 38 points.
