Although it rained, the weather improved in time for the Christmas celebrations at the Toorloo Fire Brigade.
“It was a great time to catch up with old friends and make new ones,” secretary/treasurer of Toorloo Fire Brigade Avis Salisbury said.
“The members and guests enjoyed fabulous food ranging from pork cooked on a spit, sausages, hamburgers, chicken kebabs, lots of salads and yummy desserts and a great range of drinks.”
Commander of District 11 Glenn Harrap joined in on the fun and the festivities. He also presented the members service medals and certificates.
Those recipients were: Nicholas Bain (five year certificate of service), captain Melissa Zagami (five year certificate of service), Harry Maxwell (10 year service medal), Jo Riordan (15 years service medal) and Rob Riordan (35 years service medal).
The CFA congratulated those members.
