On November 18 the Lakes Sports and Community Club (LSCC), affectionately known as the ET, held its 16th annual general meeting.
The board reported another successful trading year, and the president David Baldi reported the club is a community owned member-based association that is now able to make significant sponsorship contributions to local sporting and not for profit organisations in Lakes Entrance.
“This is thanks to the support of our members and patrons that we are able to make these contributions,” he said.
“This is an exciting time for our club as we now look at our future development for our members and for Lakes Entrance as a community asset.”
The LSCC, once again, was able to provide significant sponsorship of $68,215 to their participating clubs and associations which they have supported over the years including Lakes Entrance Golf Club, Lakes Entrance Cricket Club, Lakes Entrance Surf Club, Lakes Entrance Football and Netball Club and Lakes Entrance Action and Development Association
Since the club’s establishment on December 22, 2008, the total amount of sponsorship and donations given to the local community amounts to $471,950.
It also has a $5000 Community Grant Fund which any local community not for profit association can apply for assistance. For information contact Susie Somervile at The Lakes Sports and Community Club.
