Ballot papers for this year’s East Gippsland Shire Council elections are due this Friday.
Voting closes at 6pm on October 25, with the results for all council elections to be declared on Friday, November 15.
Before Friday, residents must make sure their vote is in the mail or dropped off at an election office located at 76 Main Street Bairnsdale.
A list of candidates is available in ballot draw order on each council’s nomination page.
Candidates running for election are: John White; Jodie Ashworth; Jes John; Aly Nichol; Valerie Curtis; Clive Bury; Cheryl Jakobi; Sonia Buckley; Suzanna Davies; Mark Reeves; Ian Trevaskis; Judy Ireland; Janice Coates; Tom Crook; Bernie Farquhar; Barry Davis; Sasha Kruse; Steven Columbus; Arthur Allen; James Nicholas; Susie Bady and Joanne Eastman.
Councillors not re-standing are Kirsten Van Diggele, Mendy Urie, Trevor Stow and Jane Greacen.
