Raising the bar

NRMA supported the Wigman family to go on a holiday last year.

Pack your bathers and dust off your tents, because NRMA Eastern Beach Holiday Park Lakes Entrance is hosting a staycation unlike any other.

“This year, we are aiming to raise the bar for Camp Quality, a charity dedicated to supporting kids facing cancer,” Eastern Beach Holiday Park manager Aliesha Harper said.

“While NRMA Parks and Resorts is holding a national ‘Camp Out for Kids with Cancer’ on October 26, where 50 per cent of site fees go towards Camp Quality’s Family Getaway program, NRMA Eastern Beach is taking it a step further with a fun-filled staycation weekend right here at home.

“Mark your calendars for October 26 to 27 because we have got a stellar line-up planned.”

The event will include:

– Sizzling sausages: Enjoy a classic Aussie barbecue with delicious snags and all the trimmings.

– Movies under the stars: Cozy up under the night sky for a family-friendly movie night complete with popcorn.

– Pancake breakfast: Start your Sunday with a sweet treat – a delicious pancake breakfast.

– Raffle extravaganza: Get your tickets for a raffle packed with amazing prizes. Local businesses such as Metung Hot Springs, Koho Sauna, Shorelines Hair and even NRMA Parks and Resorts have donated incredible experiences. The lucky winner will be drawn on Sunday, November 3.

“This year, we’re excited to be part of Camp Out for the second time,” Aliesha said.

“We wanted to do more than just rely on tourists during this uncertain time of year.

So, we decided to invite locals to enjoy a staycation here.

It’s a great opportunity to experience your own backyard as a tourist and have a chance to win some fantastic prizes in our raffle and have a weekend of fun. The kids will love the jumping pillow and heated pool.”

This staycation is more than just a getaway, it is a chance to make a real difference. While you relax and enjoy some quality family time, you will be helping Camp Quality provide much needed getaways for families affected by cancer.

“Book your staycation at NRMA Eastern Beach today and let’s raise the bar together. Don’t forget to mention the ‘Camp Out’ promotion when you book to ensure your contribution goes directly to Camp Quality,” Aliesha said.

For more information and bookings, visit NRMA Eastern Beach Holiday Park.
