The U3A camera group has been having a fantastic time, travelling to some interesting locations in search of that special image.
“We were a little bit later than normal making our annual pilgrimage to Buchan for the autumn colour this year, but still had a great time playing with cameras and leaves before heading off to the pub for lunch,” group facilitator Bruce Wilmshurst said.
Back in Lakes, the group has checked out the new Kalimna walking track and the Bullock Island redevelopment, with great results photo-wise and good reviews of the food venues at both locations.
The goal to master the art of photographing water has had the group dodging waves at Red Bluff and clambering over rocks at Ramrod Creek, but the results have been excellent: as was the cake at the Tambo Valley Honey café in Bruthen.
The group members all work well together, offering advice and acting as models when required.
“We have a lot of fun and anyone is welcome to join,” Bruce said.
“If you don’t have a camera, U3A has several spares for newbies to learn on.
“Come along and get your face in the frame.”
