The first of the winter junior grand finals were held last week at the Lakes Entrance Basketball Association, with the others to be decided this week.
Team Fi/Rachael were out of the blocks quickly in the Wednesday girls finale, establishing a 10-goal advantage by half time and going on to defeat Team Indira comprehensively by 14 goals, 36-22.
Holly Hanratty was in sensational form for the winners, finishing with 22 points, while Summer Harrison continued her impressive season form, nailing 16 points for the runners-up.
After the presentation of the spoils to both sides, the MVP for the season was presented to Summer Harrison, whilst the runners ups, Ivy O’Donnell and Evelyn Ash also received trophies.
Term three of Aussie Hoops also culminated last week, with the enthusiastic youngsters all receiving a certificate for their efforts.
