A new craft shop has recently opened in Lakes Entrance.
Owners Melanie Reynolds and Alyssa Rowe have been overwhelmed at how welcoming and supportive local residents have embraced their new venture.
They are two young mums from Bruthen with a passion for a wide range of crafts and always dreamt of going into business together.
“Our store Hooked on Craft opened on Saturday, July 20, and we’re so happy to see so many people at the door eager to see our wares, in fact there was a queue,” Alyssa said.
“There was a lucky door prize and free giveaways to help us celebrate the opening.”
The shop is located in the old Stitches n Things building. It stocks a range of craft supplies for many applications including patchwork fabrics, haberdashery, yarns, tapestry items, jewellery making, childrens’ craft kits, scrapbooking and paper crafts.
There is also a lovely selection of handmade gifts including candles and woodcraft.
“We will soon be operating a workwear embroidery service, plus custom stickers and vinyl printing,” Alyssa said.
The young mums are enjoying settling into their new business and look forward to expanding their range
