Lakes Entrance Primary School student, Joel Pompei, recently competed in the State Cross Country final held at the Yarra Valley racecourse in Yarra Glen.
The talented young basketball and footballer, bravely ran and slid his way around the two-kilometre course.
His efforts placed him in 73rd in the 9/10 year old boy section of the event.
All at the Lakes Entrance Primary School were delighted and proud of Pompei’s effort.
