Not even the persistent rain could dampen the enthusiasm of the devoted members of the Lakes Entrance Golf Club last week.
Wednesday’s ladies par event saw Julie Rowe victorious in “A” grade with -6, with “B” grade taken out by Margaret MacManus on countback with a score of -1.
Di Dickson picked up two nearest the pins, while the others went to Sue Wilson and Katrina Fearnley.

Nearest the pins went to John Drew, Gary Watson, club captain Ashley Chester and Jeff Wilson.
Saturday’s men’s stableford event attracted 70 players, with the overall winner being Schreuders with a sensational 45 points. His recent good form should see his handicap of 19 rightfully adjusted.
Leigh Przibilla won “A” grade on countback with 33 points, while the popular Robert Taylor was the “C” grade winner with 34 points.
Nearest the pin winners were Drew, Watson, Stuart Yates and Leslie Rodgers.
