The Lakes Entrance Action and Development Association (LEADA) working party for the new stadium in the Aquadome precinct met last week and agreed on some important decisions.
Three newcomers to the group attended – Bren Dodson from pickleball, David Smythe representing volleyball and Martin van Elst from Bairnsdale Soccer Club.
Lakes Entrance Tennis Club representative Boyd McPhee reported on the groups priorities.
“The drainage in the croquet, tennis complex is a huge problem and needs to be considered as a priority in the area design, while western entry to the croquet courts is in terrible condition and needs immediate attention,” McPhee said.
All members contributed ideas to the stadium complex design and the group are formulating a document covering all issues.
The working party is waiting expectantly for the shire to sign up for the $800,000 design phase of the project.
The working party will be meeting again in coming weeks.
