The Easter break followed by school holidays has kept Lakes Entrance and surrounding towns very busy with accommodation businesses and shops all reporting a busy four days over Easter and steady trade since.
Silver Sands Tourist Park, in the middle of town, is one of the few independently-owned parks left and they reported as good as usual Easter.
It has been owned by the Semmens family since 1976 and Robyn Semmens said this Easter was equal to other years, with caravan sites in demand more so than cabins.
“People seemed to be spending in town, dining out, pizzas, wine and clothes so that is good,” she said.
Being a family business Robyn feels they give extra service that other parks run by large companies have done away with. They have helped many travellers who have been delayed getting into town only to find their booked accommodation office closed.
