Principal of Lakes Entrance Primary School, Simon Prior, is thrilled with the recent announcement that a new kindergarten will be built at the primary school.
Member for Eastern Victoria, Tom McIntosh, last week made the announcement. He reported the kinder will open in 2025, giving Lakes Entrance families state-of-the-art early learning facilities closer to home.
“More young learners in Lakes Entrance will get a first-class early education closer to home, and families will save time and money,” Mr McIntosh said.
The new facility will provide up to 99 places and will be designed in consultation with school communities and local councils.
“As part of the $14 billion Best Start, Best Life reforms, the Labor State Government has made sure that every new primary school since 2021 has a kinder on-site or next door, ensuring kindergarten programs are easier to access, drop-off and pick-up times are more convenient, and children have a smoother transition to primary school,” he said.
