Lakes Entrance local, Steven Pryke, last week made the journey to Hobart, Tasmania for the third round of the Australian Bass Tournament bream series, winning the Der-went River event.
Pryke, in unfamiliar waters, each day man-aged to reel in his full limit of five bream to the scales, bringing more than 5kg of bream to the scales to narrowly take the victory by 80 grams over Hobart local, Adam Crick, who made a massive come back on day two to bring in 6.43kg five bream.
Each day Pryke fished the rocky edges of the Derwent in an area commonly known as bed-lams walls.
