Following the highly successful ‘High Tea at the Citz’ in 2018, Lakes Entrance Amateur Dramatic Society (LEADS), Lakes Entrance Girl Singers (LEGS), and Lakes Ukes and Voices (LUV) have joined forces again for an encore – ‘High Tea at the Hall’.
Last year’s event raised $1000 for drought-affected farmers. This year’s event will be held at the Mechanics Hall on Sunday, September 8, at 2pm.
Rehearsals are well underway for another hilarious radio play from LEADS.
LEGS is polishing up its harmonies for some well-known medleys and the strummers of LUV are warming up their fingers on a new repertoire.
The icing on the performance cake is a guest appearance from Maddie Clark, who appeared to acclaim in Production Line’s Sound of Music as the Abbess.
Once more, the Lakes Entrance Girl Guides will be waiting on the tables. The Country Women’s Association will be organising the delicious food in the kitchen.
Lakes Entrance retail and business community has again donated generously to the raffle, and for those that missed out on a funky tea-cosy last year, the knitters are at it again.
The theme is ‘Spring is in the Air’ so come in fine clothes because prizes will be awarded for best hat and best dressed.
Last year was a sell-out, so don’t delay in booking your table at the Mechanics Hall. Tickets are available from LOUD MUSIC along the Esplanade.
The proceeds from this event will be donated to the CWA to support local charities.
