by Lakes Post
13 March 2019
in Local News

Frankston Football Club, which competes in the VFL, will conduct a training camp in Lakes Entrance from March 15 to 17 at the Lakeside Oval.

Approximately 70 players and coaches will be in attendance with the Saturday afternoon session in cluding an Auskick clinic that is open to all children, a meet and greet with the players and give- aways. The VFL side will then par- ticipate in a training session, which is open to all locals to attend.

Frankston returned to the VFL in 2018 after a one-year recess, shocking the competition with two early wins. Many notabe players have been drafted into the AFL after playing for Frankston including Matthew Boyd (Western Bulldogs), Aaron Ewards (West Coast, North Melbourne, Richmond), Michael Hibberd (Essendon, Melbourne), Mark Baguley (Essendon) and Sam Lloyd (Richmond, Wester Bulldogs).

There will be many big names at the camp including former St Kilda and Collingwood player, Nathan Freeman, and former Sydney Swan, Angus Styles
