Lakes Entrance police are calling on witnesses with information in regards to a Bullock Island boat ramp incident on Friday and Saturday, January 11 and 12, to come forward.
Between 7pm on Friday and 11am on Saturday a black Triton utility and boat trailer were parked at the boat ramp on the North Arm at Bullock Island Road near the skate park.
On return to the boat ramp the owner had trouble putting his vehicle into four-wheeldrive.
When arriving home he went to unhook his boat trailer and it had already separated from his vehicle.
On checking the trailer hitch he noticed that a pin used to lock the trailer hitch in place was missing. The owner then noticed the rear left side of his vehicle, including the back door, had a large scratch along it and the rear left hand tyre was slashed.
The plug that allows the vehicle to be put into fourwheel-drive had been disconnected and other wires under the vehicle had been cut.
The front registration plate had also been stolen.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Senior Constable Howe at Lakes Entrance Police.
