On June 25 Lakes Entrance Primary School will reach the milestone of being on its present site for 100 years and all past students and others interested are invited to attend the celebrations.
Current day students will be dressing in their finest olden day clothes, playing old fashioned games and using chalk boards. Visitors are welcome to the whole school assembly between 1 and 2pm, where an anniversary cake will be cut.
The school encourages all former students to come along and enjoy the walk through display and the open classrooms. An old school afternoon tea will be provided including scones and other delicacies.
“Some year groups are organising their own private dinners for a catch up later in the evening,” LEPS principal Simon Prior said.
“Anyone who has any early days memorabilia or photos that they would like to be included in the exhibition can drop it off at the school as soon as possible.”
The school is looking forward to welcoming all past students and teachers to come along and commemorate this significant achievement.
They will also get the opportunity to see, from a distance, the new building under construction, which will include prep rooms, library and STEM rooms.
