Metung Lions Club members heard firsthand about the benefits of music education during a recent meeting at the Swan Reach Hotel.
Guest speakers at the May 12 meeting included Nungurner Primary School principal Emma Steele, music tutor Telina Caithness and five students involved in the school’s Crashendo music program.

The students shared how the program had supported them both at school and in their personal development, with one group message highlighting the positive impact music was having in the classroom.
“Music makes us focus better and gives us an opportunity to work together,” the students said.

Metung Lions Club has been supporting the program through ongoing financial donations to help ensure Crashendo can continue at the school.
