NFS eyes Gippsland growth

by

in Local News

The recently rebranded company NFS (National Feed Solutions) will be attending the East Gippsland Field Days for the first time.

The company is keen to meet with visitors to the field days because it sees Bairnsdale as being positioned in the food bowl of the eastern seaboard and positioned beautifully between Melbourne and Sydney.

Sales and relationship manager Rob Crawford (who is based in Gippsland) said Bairnsdale and East Gippsland was a beautiful area and a big producer and food supplier.

NFS strive to be the preferred supplier of livestock feed products, nutritional, and technical solutions to the Australian livestock industry. It offers a range high of quality, tailor-made products, delivered on time, at competitive pricing, supported by leading edge technical advice, service and support.

Mr Crawford said the company could tailor solutions for all types of farming including beef and dairy cattle, sheep pigs and even poultry.

“We have more than 800 products so can provide the full range depending on the individual’s requirements. We deliver direct to farms, providing an all-round tailored solution,” he said.

Focus products include Elite Concentrate feedlot pellets, Jumpstart Calf Milk replacer and Elite Sheep and Cattle licks.

NFS was founded in 2009 with a commitment to supply species specific products, premixes, medications, and additives to the intensive farming and livestock industries.

Its focus has always been on quality and service and ensuring there is healthy competition

for all customers.

Mr Crawford said farming had changed greatly in the past 20 years and it was critical that nutrition reflected that.

NFS is part of the BEC Group, a globally recognised leader in nutritional premix manufacturing. Together, the company brings producers even greater expertise, innovation, and science-backed solutions.

The company’s head office, and main

warehouse, are at Smeaton Grange in West Sydney, NSW, with warehousing also in Long Gully, Bendigo, Victoria.

NFS has a combination of its own trucking fleet and third-party operators to facilitate deliveries and regular trip schedules. The company delivers to all states and territories in Australia.

The service model includes an on-farm sales and relationship management team supported by qualified nutritionists whose services, including on farm visits. The company can also work with a farm’s existing nutritionist if that works better in individual situations.

NFS is best summed up by its advertising theme – feed grow thrive.
