Sale’s premier performing arts venue, The Wedge, is set for a high-octane month of entertainment this April, with a diverse program ranging from international cinema to some of the biggest names in Australian contemporary music.
Coming off the back of a massive March run of The Rocky Horror Show, the theatre will pivot toward a schedule packed with star power and nostalgic tributes.
Music lovers are well-catered for this month as two of Australia’s most respected
singer-songwriters make their way to Wellington Shire.
On Saturday, April 11, the multi-platinum, ARIA Award-winning Meg Washington will take to the stage as part of her Natural Beauty tour. Known for her haunting vocals and evocative lyrics, Washington’s performance is expected to be a highlight of the
autumn season.
The momentum continues on Friday, April 17, when indie-folk stalwart Josh Pyke returns to Sale. With a career spanning nearly two decades, Pyke remains a favourite on the touring circuit, and his intimate storytelling is perfectly suited to the John Leslie Theatre.
For those seeking a more theatrical spectacle, Moonwalker: Michael Jackson’s HIStory will bring the “King of Pop” to life on Saturday, April 18. The show promises a high-energy journey through Jackson’s greatest hits, complete with the iconic choreography and costumes that defined an era.
As the month draws to a close, the theatre will host a poignant tribute with The Spirit of the ANZACs 2026 on Thursday, April 23. This 7:30 pm performance is set to honour Australia’s military history through music and narration, providing a timely lead-in to local Anzac Day commemorations.
