THUMBS UP: I would like to thank the very honest person that found my wallet in the carpark of Bunnings and handed it in to staff (all intact). Restores my faith in humans.
THUMBS UP: To Sarsfield Cricket Club – a big shoutout to your “C” grade players last Saturday. They were fantastic with their compassionate attitude towards my grandson and his mate, both 10 years old. It was a pleasure to see their encouragement and support shown to these two young players. Kudos to you guys, it was much appreciated and a joy to watch.
THUMBS UP: I would love to say a massive thank you to Carol from Paynesville and the two other lovely ladies who came to help me in the IGA carpark on Boxing Day, when I did not see the concrete tree square until I had fully hit it, and damaged all under the front bumper. I could not thank you enough! God bless you.
THUMBS DOWN: To the taxi drivers who do not arrive on time when you have a booking and have to pay a booking fee, making me late for my appointment, and then proceeding to verbally abuse me. It’s not good enough, people shouldn’t be treated this way.
THUMBS DOWN: Nine acres of metre high, dry, fire hazard grass. As a resident at Lakes Entrance Tourist Park, I am very concerned about this fire hazard. To the neighbouring owners, do what needs to be done now.
THUMBS DOWN: To the rude gentleman at a sausage sizzle on Saturday in Paynesville who told a customer to “eat grass” pointing to the lawn when she enquired if there was a vegetarian option. Needless to say there was no donation to the charity concerned.
THUMBS UP: The 60 km/h limit on Wattle Point Road is a smart move — 100 km/h was unsafe for drivers, walkers, riders and wildlife. Slower speeds improve reaction time, reduce crash severity, and make the road safer for everyone. Thanks to the authorities for making the change.
THUMBS UP: To the Bairnsdale Advertiser. So good to read independent local news in a hard copy paper. Too rare these days.
THUMBS DOWN: To the authority who decided to burn all the piles of firewood along the highway towards Nowa Nowa. Why not let people collect it?
THUMBS DOWN: There is rubbish everywhere in the car park near Chemist Warehouse. It’s disgusting.
THUMBS UP: To Supercheap for their extra obliging service in assisting with car seat covers.
