Thrills, cheers and checkered flags highlighted Rosedale Speedway last Saturday night.
The thunder dome roared to life, the club hosting its first meeting for the new season, an action-packed program that thrilled spectators, leaving everyone smiling after a great night of racing.
The smooth running of the event was a credit to the many volunteers, officials and supporters who helped make the meeting a resounding success.
Their efforts ensured a well-organised and entertaining night of motorsport that showcased both local and visiting talent.
In the standard saloons it was Kacey Ingram who proved too strong, taking out first place after a commanding drive.
Jack Braz followed closely behind in second, with Jack Yeomans rounding out the podium after a consistent performance.
The junior drivers once again impressed the crowd with their skill and composure on the track.
Nathan Miles claimed the top step of the podium, followed by Nikolas Pritchett in second and Charli Perkins in third – an excellent effort from all three young competitors.
In the high-powered unlimited sedans class, Dale Mead dominated with speed and control to secure the win.
Stan Brown put in a strong showing for second place, while Jason Abeta fought hard to claim third.
In the SDAV hot rods, Shannon Meakins took the honours with a fast and precise drive, edging out Brendan Roberts in second and Andrew Kemp in third.
Rounding out the evening, was the division two hot rods category, which provided some close and exciting racing.
Ben Crittenden came out on top ahead of Beau Stuchberry and Andrew Cormack in third.
Overall, the night was filled with great racing, sportsmanship and a community spirit that defines Rosedale Speedway.
The next meeting is scheduled for Saturday, November 22, and promises another exciting night of grassroots racing action.
