Get ready to rock, roll and dance in the streets.
The Lakes Entrance Rocker’s Rocktober – Music on Myer is back this weekend bringing two days of live music, market stalls, vintage cars and community fun to the heart of Lakes Entrance.
Myer Street will be closed to traffic from 8am to 3pm on both Saturday and Sunday, transforming into a lively pedestrian precinct filled with entertainment and local colour.
On Saturday from 10am to 2pm, the stage will belong to Honey B & The Stingers, performing all your favourite rock ‘n’ roll hits from the 50s, 60s and 70s. Alongside the music, visitors can explore street trading, local business displays and market stalls, making it the perfect day to shop, eat and soak up the atmosphere.
Then on Sunday, the fun continues with the ever-popular Skedaddle bringing their energetic 50s and 60s-style rock ‘n’ roll to the street from 10am to 2pm. Adding to the nostalgia, vintage car lovers won’t want to miss the ‘Show and Shine’, a stunning collection of classic cars gleaming in the spring sunshine.
The event is proudly hosted by the Lakes Entrance Rockers and supported by LEADA Business, Tourism and Events Committee (BTE), with all proceeds going to Melon’s Cottage Charity, supporting local families and community causes.
Chairperson Sharen Cameron said Rocktober – Music on Myer is all about celebrating community and supporting the town’s traders.
“Music on Myer brings everyone together – locals, visitors and businesses – for a weekend that celebrates everything we love about Lakes Entrance,” she said.
“It is fun, family friendly and all for a great cause.”
To ensure public safety, Myer Street will be closed between 8am and 3pm each day. Assisted vehicle movement may be available before 10am and after 2pm by prior arrangement, with requests to be submitted before Friday.
So, dust off your dancing shoes, grab your friends, and head down to Myer Street for a weekend of great music, good food, and community spirit, all in support of a worthy local cause.
