The inaugural Eat Drink Play Gippsland festival is set to transform Leongatha’s historic Railway Precinct into a vibrant hub of local food, wine, and music on Saturday, October 18.
This full-day celebration will showcase the exceptional produce and creative culture of East Gippsland, featuring a diverse lineup of local vendors and artists.
From 11am to 5pm, the Eat session invites attendees to sample and purchase offerings from some of the region’s finest producers. Festival-goers can enjoy gourmet bites from local favourites such as Trulli, Hogget Kitchen, and Messmates, alongside beverages from standout wineries including Fleet, The Wine Farm, Dirty Three, Patrick Sullivan, Xavier Wine, and Lightfoot Wines. Additionally, Gurneys Cider, Loch Distillery, and Sailors Grave Brewing will be serving their distinctive drinks, complemented by dairy delights from Gippsland Jersey, Prom Country Cheese, and Loch Cheese Merchant.
The Play session, running from 6pm to 10pm, will feature live music performances by local artists including Misty Harlowe, Janie Gordon, and Jungle Jim Smith, culminating in a high-energy set by the Melbourne Ska Orchestra.
This event is proudly supported by the Victorian Government through its Regional Events Fund, and is a collaborative effort by South Gippsland Shire Council, Destination Gippsland, and Wine Gippsland. Tickets and more information can be found at eatdrinkplaygippsland.com.au
