Bartlett brings it home

This week's volunteers for the Lakes Entrance parkrun included Janet Ball, Lucy Coulter, Kirsten Daly, Alison Doucette, Wendy Dunstan, Dave Jones and Suzanne Spicer. (PS)

Peter Bartlett led home a field of 34

participants last Saturday in the weekly Lakes Entrance parkrun.

Bartlett recorded a respectable time of 21 minutes and 24 seconds in blustery conditions.

The first female across the line, was

impressive youngster, Mia Calleja (22.49).

The event attracted seven new participants, while five enthusiasts completed the five kilometre course in a personal best time.

Best times were recorded by Alex Helmers (23.53), Peter Stadler (26.40), Rachael Shaw (26.41), Laurinda Coulter (38.01) and Melina Perera (43.23).

Participants departed from the rotunda at 8am with representatives from the Victorian Road Runners, Lakes and District Runners, The Adventurers, Team PURE, Australia Post Group, The Turtles and Southern Peninsula Sports Club all spotted on the course.
