It was another busy week on the spacious fairways of the Lakes Entrance Golf Club, with numbers continuing to grow as the weather begins to warm up.
Pam Osbourne led the field home in Tuesday’s Young and the Rest of Us, holding off a late challenge from Stella Taylor.
Ruthless and Toothless was again well attended, with “A” grade taken out by Greg Bull and “B” grade, the way of Lee Burt.
The round of the day was posted by Justin Gray (41), while Terry Green mastering the greens, with just 12 putts.
Wednesday’s medley stableford, saw Anne Furphy win “B” grade and overall with 34 points on countback from Hayley Cotton.
In “A” grade the winner was Fiona Haslam, with 33 points.
A field of 81 players teed up on Thursday for the medley stableford event, with “B” grade player, Laurie Thomson the overall winner, with 40 points on countback from
Steve Dinham.
Troy Marjoribanks was the winner in “A” grade with 38 points on countback from Neil Howell and Bernie Cornell.
Westy Stephens took out “C” grade with 39 points.
Saturday saw 96 players hit the course for a round of stableford.
The overall winner was “C” grade player, John Melrose with a well compiled 39 points, with “A” grade taken out by Barry Brand with 38 points and “B” grade falling the way of Stuart Symes with 37 points.
In the women’s event, Di Dickson prevailed with 36 points from Apola Weel with 35 points.
