THUMBS UP: I lost my mobile phone in a street at Eastwood. Five young lads found the phone on the road somewhat scratched and damaged, but still working. They diligently went about identifying our ownership by a photo of owner and wife on the screensaver, delivering it to our neighbour, when we were not home. Their honesty and effort has been rewarded and is much appreciated.
THUMBS UP: To the men applying CPR to a person in Lakes Entrance until the ambulance arrived. It was heart warming see the policeman shake his hand afterwards.
THUMBS DOWN: To Leo Hamulczyk’s letter to the editor. The outdoor pool is not a historical facility, It’s a right of passage and way of life for communities. Read the room Leo.
THUMBS DOWN: To the idiots who do burnouts on Wattle Point Road, Goon Nure Road and Bengworden Road. Why? Low brain cell count?
THUMBS UP: To the volunteers who braved the chilly mornings to set up the farmers’ market. Your effort brings the community together and keeps local produce thriving.
THUMBS DOWN: To the drivers who continue to speed through school zones. The signs are clear, and children’s safety should always come first.
THUMBS UP: To the kind stranger who helped change a flat tyre on the Princes Highway last week. Your generosity didn’t go unnoticed.
