THUMBS UP: To all the people of Bairnsdale who in so many ways supported the steam rail visit with more than 400 on board last Sunday. Well done. May it be bigger and better if it can return next year.
THUMBS UP: To the council worker in Orbost’s main street patiently cutting cable ties and string lights out of the street trees to save them from strangulation and certain death. Thank you for preserving our beautiful flowering tree.
THUMBS DOWN: To the people who put string lights and Christmas decorations in the Orbost street trees (Nicholson Street) and never removed them. Your cable ties are killing our beautiful trees. It is august now and I have been working to remove the mess and save the trees.
THUMBS UP: To the outstanding care and professionalism displayed by Sean and Carrie. Went in for a stress echo worried and coming out feeling great about the whole experience. BRHS are very lucky to have such wonderful staff.
THUMBS UP: A wonderful sight last Thursday afternoon – a colourful dragon boat racing on the billabong on the back water in Bairnsdale. Go girls.
THUMBS UP: To the honest couple that found my wallet near Coles and returned it to me in person. Thank you for your time and kindness.
THUMBS DOWN: To the people using mobile phones at the Bairnsdale library. Go outside to use your phone.
THUMBS UP: To VicRoads – replacement drivers licence. I was told I would get my licence in four weeks, only to wait one week. Great services.
THUMBS UP: To the artist for the stunning new mural near Woolworths in Lakes Entrance. How about painting a mural on the water tower in Bairnsdale?
THUMBS DOWN: To the large deer who was standing in the middle of the Paynesville Road at 2.45am.
