The Lakes Entrance Primary School recently achieved some exceptional results at the District Athletics held at Howitt Park in Bairnsdale.
The school was represented by 33 students, 15 who qualified for the division finals on Monday, September 8, by finishing first or second in their events, doing the school proud.
Winners in the nine-to-10-year category were Levi (100 metres) and Autumn (discus), while in the 11-year-old section wins were achieved by Benji (discus), Joel (long jump, 200 and 800 metres), Remi (triple jump) and the boys’ 100 metre relay team (Ace, Remi, Hunter and Joel).
There were some great results in the 12/13 year age group as well, including Brodie (800 and 1500 metres), Junior (shot put and discus), Lux (high jump and 100 metres), Riley I (hurdles and triple jump), Zara (1500 metres) and the girls’ 100 metre relay team (Riley G, Zara, Lux and Riley I).
