It’s a busy time at the Lakes Entrance Amateur Basketball Association with Country Basketball League tryouts being staged for both the men’s and women’s programs this Sunday.
The prospective Pelicans ladies contenders will strut their stuff at the Lakes Entrance Youth and Recreation Centre between 7-8.15pm, under the watchful eye of head coach, Kaylah Dunstan.
The men will hold two sessions beginning on Sunday between 12-1.30pm and following up next Sunday between 3.30-5pm under coach Andrew Wright.
In other news, the under eight competition was completed last week after 12 weeks of action with a great group of youngsters coached by Adam, James, Danielle, Dave and Marcus.
The association will run an All Abilities Basketball Come and Try Day on Friday, September 5, from 11-11.45am.
It’s a free session for people of all abilities and ages, with a focus on skill development and a modified game at the end of the session.
