Stratford Football Netball Club (SFNC) recently hosted arch rival Boisdale Briagolong in their annual Mental Health Round at the Boyd Reserve in Stratford.
The match is played each year in memory of the Swans premiership player, Lachie Heywood.
Stratford hosting a great day, remembering Heywood and all those lost to their mental health battles.
Each Swans team awards a memorial medal in honour of Heywood and what he stood for at the club.
Heywood was an outstanding club person, who gave his all for his team and the SFNC.
Someone that always offers to help
and a positive role model to all and so much more.
The 2025 football medal winners were Jake Williams (thirds), Jesse Broadbent (reserves) and Jordan Robertson (seniors).
Netball winners were Mahlia Bradley (under 13), Gracie Gartung (under 15), Layla Johnson (under 17), Teagan Channing (“D” grade), Skyla Skeen (“C” grade), Alannah Boyd (“B” grade) and Tori Patterson (“A” grade).
The SFNC is thankful for everyone that came on the day and continue to stand together and honour Heywood’s legacy.
