The official opening of Mosaic Elite Health brought the Lakes Entrance community together as the unique all-abilities community hub celebrated with an open day last Saturday.
The centre at 52 Myer Street is located at the old cinema centre which now features the cinema and a new café, a state-of-the-art boxing, fitness and health studio in collaboration with R U Fit.
There are programs galore, including art therapy, kids sensory play, fishing, boxing, fitness, yoga, dance, Zumba, supported employment, subliminal and screen printing, cheerleading, all abilities hip hop, jazz, theatrical, contemporary, ballet, burlesque, a podcast program, lifestyle cooking, pet care, beauty and hygiene, socialising sober, microbusinesses, digital design, job skills, finance management, hydrotherapy, mums and bubs and many more.
It has a full allied health wing and NDIS disability support services.
The celebrations included a free community barbecue, Welcome to Country and performance by Trey Baxter, official ribbon cutting, kid’s face painting, living exhibition boxing matches and a free screening of Grease in the cinema.

The centre is founded by chief executive officer Mistee Royal-Goehner and director of social services West Goehner. They operate the facility with key contributions from executive coordinator Taniesha Kitchen and tradesman Lochie Hibberson, and in collaboration with R U Fit owners and Mosaic chief financial officer Melissa Woodward and exercise physiologist programs coordinator and practitioner Jeremy Woodward.
The clinical team features 40 plus allied health professionals and has recently partnered with Sunflower Community Support to enhance service delivery in the region.
Special recognition is given to business mentor and lead senior physiotherapist Angela Ellis and early supporter and inspiring artist Belinda Ridley who has been there since day one.
Mosaic Health thanked Vicky Bownds for believing in them and for pushing them to keep going. They thanked their entire team for all the hard work.

“Coming from a background of hardship, West and I want to show people from all walks of life that you can change your life. We are here for this community, as a beacon of hope and change. We stand solid in wanting to be the example for people from all walks of life that they can change their lives. We want to be the change, to give hope to parents of children suffering from addiction that they can make better choices and change their lives.
