Lakes Entrance Primary School students Zara Takac, Brodie Darcy and Joel Pompei represented the school at the Regional Cross Country Championships recently at the Drouin racecourse.
Pompei finished an outstanding eighth in a field of 53 in the 11 boys, running a three kilometre time of 11 minutes and 59 seconds. His efforts qualified him for the State titles at the Yarra Valley racecourse.
Tarac (14.55) finished an impressive 33rd in the 12/13 girls, while Darcy (11.58) also put up a slashing effort finished 16th in a field of 51 in the boys 12/13.
