AusNet is replacing the overhead powerline that supply power to the island with a new underground cable.
From late May to late June, AusNet will be building the underground cable between: 84 and 91 Fort King Road, Paynesville; 145 and 165 Western Boulevard, Raymond Island.
From 7am to 6pm, Monday to Friday,
you’ll see large machinery digging, cable
hauling and boring underground to install the new cable below the seabed. Traffic control will be in place to safely guide you around the works area.
To safely complete these works, AusNet will need to turn the power off on Raymond Island and parts of Paynesville on the following dates: Wednesday, May 28, from 8.30am to 4pm; Wednesday, June 24, from 8.30am to 5pm.
All affected customers will be notified in advance via SMS or mail.
